Hi Harriet
Im in the same position you were in in 2013 – actually, I worked with Kirsty Smith when she worked for ITV – and I know all about her Eebymum blog! Im really interested to know if you are in fact working again? Ive not worked in the industry for 7 years and although still know a lot of people in the industry, I’m getting that worrying feeling like things have moved on and Im too old to restart even though every fibre of my being knows that this is the job I loved for years and no matter what Ive tried in between, nothing else comes close! However, the whole re-pitching, do I mention kids or not, what sort of work can I honestly do… well, there are confidence issues which Im sure you must remember. Let me know the “what happened next”! All the best for 2015! xx

Welcome back to the world of television Harriet! We worked together years ago on Watercolour Challenge. Its great to read your story. I didn’t work for 7 years whilst having a family and I felt nervous before I got back into it even though its in a different role now. Good luck!
